Our Staff
Oxford Tutoring employs knowledgeable instructors with a passion for students. Specifically, Oxford Tutoring instructors are selected for their mastery of the subject matter and ability to elucidate instructional material in a “student-friendly” way.  All instructors utilize research-based instructional materials and methods, and base their style of explanation on individual students’ learning styles.  As such, they function as student-centered mentors that motivate students to achieve. 

Our Service Hallmarks
Oxford Tutoring seeks to exceed your service expectations.  As such, our services are defined by the following service hallmarks:

• Flexibility - Oxford Tutoring understands that parents and students have busy schedules.  We work hard to accommodate your scheduling needs.  We will match an instructor to your availability.
  
  
• Holistic Services - Oxford Tutoring provides tutoring for all ages and most subject areas, including test preparation and study skills.  As such, we provide a “one stop shop” that will meet the needs of the entire family.
  
  
• Ease of Enrollment - Oxford Tutoring makes enrollment hassle-free.  Enrollment simply involves scheduling an assessment to identify your child’s areas of need, and providing us with your schedule of availability.  We will then create a personalized instructional plan for your child and establish an instructional schedule that matches your family’s availability. Oxford Tutoring contract simply clarifies our attendance and payment policies, but does not require you to purchase a block of sessions or otherwise invest without being confident about the service first.  You may even “test drive” the service by scheduling a session prior to enrolling formally. 
  
  
• Personal Communication - Oxford Tutoring is a local company that values a professional, yet personal relationship with our clients.  Management is dedicated to ensuring that your experience at Oxford Tutoring is open and positive. You may speak directly    with your child’s tutor after each tutoring session and confer with managers whenever you have a question or concern. 
  
  
• Effective Tutors - Oxford Tutoring instructors achieve results!  Oxford Tutoring selects knowledgeable tutors that understand how to engage students in learning. Their mastery of the subject matter and passion for students enables them to motivate students and build confidence.  Furthermore, by utilizing research-based     instructional strategies, Oxford Tutoring tutors maximize their effectiveness.
  
  
• Coordination with the Classroom - Oxford Tutoring managers and tutors recognize the importance of coordinating our program with your child’s classroom instruction.  As such, we can provide direct homework help and test preparation, as well as speak with your child’s teachers to maximize our instructional effectiveness.  If your child has an Individual Education Plan (IEP), coordination is a special priority.

Our Involvement in the Community: Supplemental Educational Services & Foster Youth Services
As an Approved Provider of Supplemental Educational Services (SES), Oxford Tutoring provides state funded tutoring programs free of charge for eligible students.  These programs are coordinated with the school district, parents and/or foster youth services to maximize student achievement in the classroom and on the California Standards Test (CST).  Tutoring is available in your home, at a local library, at our center, or at your child’s school.  Please speak with Oxford Tutoring if you are interested in learning more about our SES and foster youth programs.
